my apologies.

so i clearly missed the mark with my prediction that the venezuelan equine encephalitis virus would be the government conspiracy used to scare the masses. my sincere apologies and i would like to assure you that i have learned my lesson so as to be more astute when discerning these matters for next time.

  1. venezuelan equine encephalitis was clearly a distraction in an earnest, not to mention clever, attempt to divert attention until the true government conspiracy plot was fully developed.

  2. the plot has to be catchy. no pun intended. swine flu is a lot easier to say than venezuelan equine encephalitis. "flu-like" apparently carries no weight at all. flu actually has to be in the name.

  3. the outbreak has to be started in a country other than the united states. (obviously! how did i miss that?) preferably in country for which most americans have already established some form of disdain. i.e japan, mexico, etc.
